First holography campaign successfully completed on July 20, 2008
The 12 GHz holography system was successfully installed at the prime
focus during the week of July 14-20, 2008. First holography maps of
the 32-m diameter inner three rings were obtained immediately
following the installation. Using these maps, we adjusted one of the
out-of-alignment panels and successfully verified the result using
subsequent holography measurements, demonstrating that we can now
measure and correct the panel installation using holography. We plan
to reset the entire inner three rings of the reflector surface using
holography when the actuator installation is completed.
